FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)

Can I submit more than one piece of art?

You may submit more than one response to the prompt each month.  However, we will only highlight one selected image for each winner. Multiple submissions do not increase your chance of winning.

For illustrators working in a comic/graphic novel style: We advise submitting your strongest panel for easy viewing on social media, the website and in the INSIGHT e-newsletter.

Can I email you my art submissions?

No. You may only submit artwork for review on Bluesky, Instagram, Twitter, and on your SCBWI Illustrator Gallery using the #scbwiDrawThis keyword/hashtag.

Where can I see the art each month?

To view the artwork, go to Bluesky, Instagram and X and type in #scbwiDrawThis in the search bar. You can also do a keyword search in the SCBWI Illustrator Gallery by searching the keyword #scbwiDrawThis. The entries for each month will be displayed.

How can I enter my artwork?

You can enter your artwork by using the #scbwiDrawThis hashtag when you upload your artwork on Bluesky, Instagram, Twitter, and the SCBWI Illustrator Gallery. It is your choice to use one of these or all of these platforms. You must choose at least one of these platforms for your work to be reviewed each month.

Will I receive a notice in my email about the monthly prompt?

Your SCBWI Member Home Newsfeed will give you updates of things going on in SCBWI, including the monthly DrawThis Prompts. Additionally, the monthly e-newsletter INSIGHT includes the winners and the next month's prompt. Stay connected with the SCBWI community. We look forward to seeing your artwork!
