Award info

Available at both the In-Person Winter Conference and Virtual Summer Conference. Awarded to the top three or four portfolios as determined by a panel of judges including industry professionals and renowned illustrators.

Gold Award: Free tuition to the Summer or Winter Conference of the following year; appointments with two art directors for a portfolio/style/illustration critique. Silver and Bronze Awards: Zoom conversation with an art director for a portfolio/style/illustration critique

Eligibility

Art portfolios must be submitted for display according to guidelines made available during conference registration. Only full-time conference attendees are eligible for the award. There is no prior application process for this award. Portfolios will be judged at the conference by a panel of top professionals. SCBWI reserves the right not to confer this award in any given year.
