As organisers of a larger-scale event and having seen the aftermath of other large events, we recognise the need to mitigate Covid risks for all attendees and faculty.
The Europolitan Conference will abide by any guidelines and/or restrictions in place in Germany, in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, or the city of Cologne at the time of the conference.
If no specific official guidelines are in place at the time of the conference, we ask you to bear in mind that immunosuppressed, disabled or otherwise at-risk people are part of our society in general and our community specifically. They deserve our attention and care and as such some people, including faculty, may be more comfortable wearing masks and maintaining some personal distance and we appreciate your respect and understanding of this.
Further, we ask you to test yourself before traveling to the conference and to not travel or attend in the event of a positive result, or if you feel ill and are displaying symptoms consistent with Covid-19.
At the Europolitan, we as organizers will take the follwing additional measures. 1) provide hand-sanitizer for the attendees at each conference room 2) put up signs to remind attendees to adhere to proper hygiene standards.
