Peer Critiques

Peer Critiques will take place on Sunday afternoon between 2:30pm and 4pm.

Participation in the Peer Critique activity of the Europolitan Conference is free for all ticket holders no matter if Illustrator or writer.

Participants submit their work in different categories (Illustration, PB, MG, YA). We will form groups of (max) 5 participants and distribute your sumbission to yor group members. Participants each submit either the first ten pages of their MG/YA novel, Shunn Manuscript style a complete picture book manuscript, or up to three images.

Writers and writer/illustrators are grouped by the genre of the work submitted. The groups are typically made up of four or five members and are each led by a participant with critique experience. Each group member critiques the work of the other members of the group. We exchange the work in advance of the event (October 15) and will provided critiquing guidelines and forms to each participant. At the event, group members critique orally, and provide each member with our written critiques. There is typically time for questions and discussion.

By signing up to the Peer Critique you agree to treat your fellow group member’s work with respect and care and refrain from distributing the material in any way. You may select the additional Sunday Lunch option, but you may also grab lunch outside the venue. Please note that it is not allowed to order food into the venue.
