Analía is an Associate Agent at the Andrea Brown Literary Agency. She has been with ABLA since 2021, assisting Executive Agent Kelly Sonnack in championing a diverse list of authors and illustrators. Before that, she was an editorial assistant at Candlewick Press and interned at several literary agencies. She holds bachelor’s degrees in Child Development and Ethnic Studies, which have informed her passion for the intersections of children’s literature, developmental psychology, and identity. Authors and illustrators were her childhood celebrities; now, she is thrilled to have the opportunity to cheer them on and support them in a professional capacity.
Kathleen represents NYT bestselling and award-winning authors for picture books, chapter books, middle grade, YA, and adult novels. When it comes to novels, Kathleen loves contemporary, fantasy, cozy scary, and dark suspense with layers. She’s decidedly pro witch and dragon. She’s always interested in atmospheric settings that feel like a character, multi-generational stories, matrilineal magic, and really enjoys memorable rapport and romance. She represents fiction and nonfiction board books and picture books. For nonfiction, she’s drawn to environmental and STEM themes. For fiction, she’s all over the place: try her with something timeless and thoughtful, something irreverent and hilarious, or a sweet younger text. She’s learned to love truck books after reading 10,045 of them to her own toddler, and is interested in finding something fresh for the vehicle lovers. She will forever identify with all things whimsical and would love to discover a charming story about fairies.
