Pitch Madness 2025 consists of three parts: (1) Crash Course Pitch Practice, (2) your choice of a Pitch Session, and (3) exclusive submission opportunity.
Join us on Fat Tuesday as we learn tips from agent Kelly Dyksterhouse for crafting a great pitch and get the chance to practice your pitch with the group. The teaching portion of this session will be recorded and made available for 11 days (through March 15th).
Morning Session A: 10 am – 11:30 am ET with senior editor Kat Brzozowski of Feiwel & Friends
Morning Session B: 10 am – 11:30 am ET with senior agent Maria Vicente of P.S. Literary
Afternoon Session: 12:30 pm – 2 pm ET with agent Monica Rodriguez of Context Literary
Choose one session to attend. Each session is limited to 12 attendees. You will meet together on Zoom for the pitch session but conduct your pitch privately in a breakout room with the faculty member. (Breakout rooms will be hosted by a member of the Regional Team.) Each attendee will have a total of 5 minutes in the breakout room. Time your pitch to take no more than 2-3 minutes to ensure you leave time for feedback from the faculty member. These sessions will not be recorded.
Stick around. Following the twelve pitch sessions, the faculty member will return to the main Zoom room to offer insights and answer questions.
Attendees will receive an invitation to submit, exclusive to your pitch session.
