Directions for Written Critiques
Please submit:
Ten (10) pages of your manuscript in double-spaced, Times Roman 12 font, with 1-inch margins.
OR
a picture book manuscript up to 1000 words, or nonfiction picture book no more than 1200 words.
OR
a portfolio not exceeding 10 images in one PDF file.
OR
a picture book dummy up to 10 spreads in one PDF file.
All manuscripts/dummies/portfolios are due midnight on November 8th, 2024. But we highly recommend you upload your materials immediately after registering for the event. Your written critiques from the faculty will be shared on the day of the event, December 7th via a personal Google Folder. Please note only you and the SCBWI team will have access to it.
You are encouraged to sign up for as many critiques and pitches as you’d like! There is no limit!
All faculty except for editor Karen Boss, Deeba Zargarpur, and Brian LaRosa will open to submissions after the event. Submission information will be provided by December 10th, 2024.
