Grab your coffee and snack (provided), wear your pj's (not provided) and get cozy for a bookish show and tell at Emmy Kastner's studio. The theme is REVISION — she'll be walking the group through the process of writing and making art for her latest book, WHILE YOU'RE ASLEEP. There will be plenty of time for Q & A and discussion. Bio: Emmy Kastner is an author and illustrator of children's books (WHILE YOU'RE ASLEEP, A VERY BIG FALL, and the NERDY BABIES series). As a former high school teacher and co-founder of the youth writing center, Read and Write Kalamazoo--RAWK, Emmy is an advocate for youth voices. Emmy lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan with her family. She spends most days writing and making art in her studio above her family's coffee shop.
