What is it?
This is a FREE peer-to-peer critique session where you will receive feedback on your manuscript and offer others feedback on theirs.
How to participate:
Free with registration—After you submit your manuscript, you will receive an email from Heather with further instructions.
Deadline:
- Send your manuscript to Heather, scbwiEPAcgc@gmail.com, by midnight Friday, 4/11/25.
- Please put “CAT submission” in the subject line of your email.
What to send:
- For Picture Book/Board Book (PB/BB): Please send entire manuscript and a 1- to 2-sentence pitch (in the same document).
- For Chapter Book/Early Reader/Middle Grade/Young Adult (CB/ER/MG/YA): Please send up to 10 pages of your manuscript and a one-paragraph synopsis (in the same document). Please include your synopsis in the same document (please don’t send two documents).
- Translator submissions should include a brief note about the source work (also in the same document).
How to format your submission:
⇒For all submissions, format your work in 12-point font, with one-inch margins, and double spacing (US letter size paper size).
⇒Please include your name on every page of your work as a header or a footer, as well as identifying information on page one: first & last name, email address, title, genre.
⇒Please SAVE YOUR FILE as a Word doc or PDF as follows: PocCAT25_CATEGORY_YourLastName_TITLE OF YOUR MANUSCRIPT.
⇒For example, if Heather Stigall was sending a picture book, she would save her document as follows: PocCAT25_PB_Stigall_THREE LITTLE WIGS
