A Pitch Opportunity for Your WIP! It’s Free!
Submit a pitch to get first impressions and honest feedback from our faculty panelists. Enter your pitch anonymously. Panelists will review and comment quickly on as many submissions as possible in the allotted time.
Guidelines
- A submission is not a guarantee that an entry will be discussed.
- A submission must be submitted via the Google form found under your "Events" section by May 1st, 2025.
- You must be a registered attendee of the 2025 spring conference to participate.
- You can only enter once.
- Pitches will be pre-selected for review based on which ones may impart lessons for the most people in general
Submission information for Authors:
- Submit a pitch of your manuscript consisting of 280 characters. This includes spaces.
- You will be asked to indicate whether it's PB, MG or YA.
- You will be asked to include two comparison texts.
Only pitch a completed, edited manuscript. Even if your pitch is not selected, it will be included in a document with all the pitches that will be given to our agent and editors.

Submission information for illustrators and author/illustrators:
- Submit a single PDF document in the dimensions 1920w X 1080h (150 dpi) with 2-4 related or unrelated illustrations
A link to submit your pitch will be under the "Events" section of your member page. Go to your member page<click on "Events"< scroll down until you see SCBWI-MI Spring Conference Pitch Session. Your pitch must be submitted by May 1st, 2025.
