This scholarship, sponsored by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, is available to one emerging author/illustrator. It includes tuition to the New York Conference, a free manuscript consultation, and free inclusion in the Portfolio Showcase.
This scholarship provides tuition to the SCBWI In-Person Winter Conference for an author-illustrator early in their career. Winners will also receive a free picture book manuscript consultation and inclusion in the Portfolio Showcase. SCBWI members only.
Submission portal can be found in your Member Profile under the AWARDS tab.
Submissions open October 22 through November 15.
Winners will be announced on December 18.
All applicants must be current SCBWI members. Please post the following information in the submission form:
1) A one-paragraph artist statement about your work as an author-illustrator. This may also include a summary of your current work in progress.
2) Three illustrations.
Images may be submitted as JPG or PNG
