Welcome to SCBWI Canada: East!

Pull up a chair and join us in the world of children’s literature! With a presence in Canada since 1997, SCBWI offers a network and resources for authors and illustrators (aspiring or established), translators, teachers, librarians, booksellers, and publishers. Since 2004, SCBWI Canada East has served members in Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Nunavut, Quebec, and Ontario. We organize in-person and online events; host an ongoing conversation about the joys, terrors, and discoveries of writing and illustrating for children; and produce a monthly newsletter offering information like upcoming grant deadlines. But most of all, we offer you the chance to connect with a warm, supportive community of like-minded people. Join us!
