The CenCal regional team organizes and invites you to these annual events (subject to change):

1) Writers Day - which is generally an in-person conference event on Saturday, with an optional add-on opportunity to pitch to an Agent/Editor/Other Industry expert via Zoom the next day on Sunday (available to SCBWI members who have paid for the Saturday portion of Writers Day, as long as supply lasts). CenCal's Writers Day event has recently been occurring in the Fall of each year. For more information, check our Events page.

2) Writers Retreat - which is an in-person event at a relaxing location intended for members to do hands-on creative work on their project, while connecting with each other in between their work. This annual event is typically taking place in January of each year. For more information, check our Events page.

3) In-person and online Mingles for writers and illustrators (check our Mingles page for county-specific mingle dates/locations and check our Illustrators Corner page for the online illustrators' mingles hosted by CenCal's Illustrator Coordinator).

For more information, log into your SCBWI account and click on MEMBER HOME (upper righthand corner). Then, when you see your profile, at the top menu click on My Resources. You'll be able to scroll through multiple resources linked to your membership--including but not limited to Member Discounts and multiple publications designed to assist you on your creative journey.
