Join us on Friday, February 28th as we kick off the new year! Library and Information director Jessica Lucero will be speaking on her librarian experience.

Speaker Bio: Jessica Lucerno serves as the Library & Information Director at the Balch Springs Library - Learning Center, where she brings a wealth of experience in library management, community engagement, and information services. With a Master's degree in Library & Information Science from UNT and over 10 years of experience in the field, Jessica has demonstrated a strong commitment to fostering a culture of learning and literacy.

Under her leadership, BSL-LC has expanded its programs and services, embraced innovative technologies, and strengthened its role as a vital community hub. Jessica is passionate about promoting access to information, supporting lifelong learning, and creating inclusive spaces for all patrons.

Outside of her professional role, Jessica enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and traveling. She has read 9 books so far this year to reach her goal of 96.
