Welcome to SCBWI : Southwest Texas!
The Southwest Texas chapter meets in-person in San Antonio as well as online. We host webinars, kidlit conversations, workshops and more. Our writers, illustrators, and librarians cheer each other on.
SWTX Monthly Meetings! C'mon down!
Our Southwest Texas region meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month, either in-person or virtually. The in-person meetings usually run for an hour but members can hang out afterward to ask questions, chat about their work, or participate in informal critique groups. Please sign up for our newsletter which includes details about our upcoming meetings. Hope to see you at the next one!
Sketch Night!
Join us for our monthly Sketch Night on the second Tuesday of the month in the back patio area of Chester’s Hamburgers. This casual gathering is for sketching, chatting with fellow illustrators, and building up our Southwest Texas SCBWI community. So bring your favorite art-making items and join the fun! Location: Chester’s Hamburgers 9980 W Interstate 10, San Antonio, TX 78230. Time: 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. For questions contact our illustrator coordinator: swtexas-ic@scbwi.org Hope to see you there!

Logging in will activate your account on the new website and ensure that you are on our mailing list going forward. If you don't remember your SCBWI password, then go to this link: https://www.scbwi.org/forgot-password and enter the email address associated with your membership. You will receive a link by email to reset your password. Once you know your password, log in to scbwi.org Click the Member Home button at the top right of the page. Then click My Profile, followed by Edit My Profile. On the Edit Profile page, scroll down until you see Manage Your SCBWI Regions. Click that. Choose our region (Texas: Southwest) from the dropdown list. Click Update.
