Welcome! The Nebraska region serves members over a wide geographical area. We host events that connect writers and illustrators and help our members grow in their craft, skills, and understanding of the publishing marketplace.

Regional Meetings are back with a twist. These bi-monthly meetings will feature presenters specializing in kidlit. Free to all SCBWI Nebraska premium members.

Writers and illustrators! Join us for Story Spinners, a casual in-person event. Gather for a few hours and focus on your current work in progress in the company of like-minded creators. Next event: November 16 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Keene Memorial Library in Fremont.

Shop Talk 2024-2025 has a new format!

Calling all novel writers! Want to write a novel for kids but not sure where to start? Have lots of ideas but not sure which ones will work best? Have a work-in-progess and need some accountability and guidance? In this virtual workshop, you will dive deep into writing a children's novel. Writing From the Inside Out: Novel Workshop is offered by the Nebraska region starting September 2024 with George Jreije.
