SCBWI Oregon is excited to present our 2024 in-person conference!

Join us November 9 in Beaverton, Oregon as we learn from publishing professionals and local members, make new friends, and get inspired to keep creating fantastic children’s literature. Whether you are a seasoned professional or just starting out, this one-day conference promises to recharge your creative batteries and provide new opportunities. So come join the fun as we remember that when it comes to creating for kids, The Sky’s the Limit! 🛩️

Special Opportunity – Written critiques are available from our faculty for an additional charge of $55. Manuscripts or images are due by October 7th and will be returned to you with the faculty notes at the end of the conference. You will not be meeting face to face with your critiquer, but will receive written feedback only. See below for more information. CRITIQUE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

Morning coffee and lunch are included in the registration price of $150 for members and $170 for nonmembers on September 24th.

🎓 Scholarships

A $30 scholarship, generously donated by Stephanie Shaw, and two $50 scholarships were awarded by the region to SCBWI members who applied.

Refund Policy

Cancellations received by October 24, 2024 will receive a full refund minus a $15 administrative fee.

Refunds after October 25, 2024 for emergencies only, at the discretion of the Regional Advisor.

No refunds will be given for Written Critique fees as that money goes directly to the faculty.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. SCBWI reserves the right to require anyone not complying with the above to depart from any event at which any such activity has been perpetrated and to bar them from future SCBWI events.
